Strange phenomena...?

Last night something very odd happened that has happened a few times in the past.. I was watching t.v. and fell asleep. However, I woke up and the remote for my t.v. was out of reach, so in order to turn the t.v. off I "imagined" the remote in my hand and turned the t.v. off. And the t.v. actually turned off..(This was not a dream where you wake up inside of a dream, I am well experienced with those) I realized what i did and I would say I realized I was in a odd conscious state of mind.. No I don't smoke weed, drink.. It was an odd experience. As this time I could confidently control what ever I decided with "my mind".. I am not sure if it was "my mind" or if it was some strange force i am just starting to become aware of.. w.e. it was it was strange and left me feeling comfortable with what had happened.. Has anyone heard of events such as this? I don't have any other outlets for info. So let's hear all the bashing and mean comments but most of all let me hear what this was.. Am I growing into someone who controls things with their mind..?
